DownloadOn March 5th, St. Stephens Episcopal Church hosted the first Holy Hike of 2022 at Oak Mountain near Birmingham, Alabama.
Holy Hikes are liturgical hikes which celebrate a church service within the context of a hike by having stations along the way. Holy Hikes emerged out of the Episcopal Church and were founded by Rev. Justin Canon in California. Holy Hikes is now a network of eco-ministries in the Christ tradition committed to rebuilding communion between all of God's creation. Combining hiking with worship helps individuals to step out beyond the walls of comfort to be renewed in their relationship with the earth, the Church, and the Creator.
